Where you will be

Bwindi · Southwestern Uganda

Above the Mubwindi swamp trail on the eastern side of the forest, at about 2350 metres.

Impenetrable is not marketing. The forest closes over the trail within minutes, and somewhere on the slope a family of mountain gorillas is already awake.

Getting there

Ninety minutes on rough road from Buhoma. A high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended.
